Florence itinerary in one day

If you can, we recommend spending more than one day in Florence. However, if your travel time is limited, it's better to see Florence than to miss it completely.

Stop 1: Arrival in Florence

Centrally located between Milan, Venice and Rome, Florence is easily accessible by train. This makes it easier to see the city in one day than it seems. Stop 6: Old Bridge

After eating what gourmets consider the best meal in town, walk 9 minutes to Ponte Vecchio, one of the oldest monuments in Florence. It is the only bridge that crosses the Arno River and the only one that the Germans did not destroy during World War II. Instead, they demolished the buildings on either side of the bridge to block access.

A unique feature of Ponte Vecchio are the shops built into the structure, most of which sell jewelry and gold. You won't want to miss this iconic landmark in Florence.
